Did you know that Grandparents Day will be celebrated in the U.S. on Sunday, September 10th, 2017? In 1978 President Jimmy Carter proclaimed a national holiday in honor of grandparents. The idea was conceived in 1970 by a West Virginia housewife, Marian McQuade.
