Grandparents Day 2018
Did you know there is a day set aside each year to recognize your Grandpa and Grandma?
National Grandparents Day was signed into law in the United States by President Jimmy Carter in 1978. This special day to honor all Grandparents is observed on the first Sunday of September following Labor Day. So this year we will celebrate Grandma and Grandpa on Sunday, September 9th! On the actual day, many families will also gather to share stories and a meal with Nana and Papa!

Grandparents Day will be celebrated in the U.S. on Sunday, September 10th, 2017? In 1978 President Jimmy Carter proclaimed a national holiday in honor of grandparents. The idea was conceived in 1970 by a West Virginia housewife, Marian McQuade. Grandparents Are Special
While I truly believe the best job in the world is being a mom, I must confess being a Grandparent must truly be awesome! I can't really imagine how anything could be better than being called Mommy, but I think being called "Grandma" or "Nana" or "Mimi" would be pretty special too!
